JA Ward & Son Ltd is a friendly family run business and has been traded as joiners but as demand has changed so have we.

We are a Yorkshire based company but work all over the U.K from John O' Grotes to Lands End. We work as a team, using our own contracts from demolishing and rebuilding a property to just refurbishment.

The new Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) was designed by the government to help rid the sector of cowboy operatives by stamping out tax fraud.

The scheme was intended to create a fairer system for legitimate firms by standardising tax arrangements throughout the industry.

It was hoped that CIS would reduce time spent by contractors on paperwork and provide a more efficent system for processing subcontractors' tax claims.
